Bobby Chakraborty conducted the 481st session of his free, worldwide anti-addiction campaign, I AM THE KING OF MY MIND. The students from all engineering and non-engineering trades at Biren Mahanti Memorial Government ITI, Simlapal-Bankura, were carried away by his wave of emotional awareness, humor, mixed with love and affection.

Through engaging social experiments, role plays, and real-life incidents, students, or Bobby‘s soldiers, learned these priceless life lessons in his fight against the darkness of all kinds of addiction (smoking, alcoholism, smart phones, etc.) and harmful social trends (abusive language, online obscenity to gain popularity, bullying, ragging, dangers of online gaming, etc.).

Soldier Arnab Mahanti (Fitter) served as the session’s official photographer, with assistance from Soldier Shubhajit Dutta (Fitter), who held the title of The Best Friend. Somu Dey, an electrician, and Soubhik Mahanty, a fitter, received the other two significant ceremonial titles of The First Soldier and The Trendsetter, respectively. It’s interesting to note that Soubhik won the final surprise quiz competition alongside Soldiers Barnali Acharya (Fitter) and Rima Roy (Electrician). Bobby awarded special prizes, personalized HCF t-shirts, and Community Service Certificates to the winners and Arnab.

Any program like this, which is not a commercial endeavor, depends heavily on the organizers’ selflessness, and Anjan Biswas, the socially conscious Project Head, receives high points in this regard. Under the direction of Principal Raja Das, Event Coordinator Sourav Mondal, and an effective team, he turned this interactive workshop featuring actor/activist/method acting teacher Bobby into a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the students.
