A Special Education Support For 5 Underprivileged Students

In keeping with its long-standing goal of advancing education among kids from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, Jan Kalyan Trust, a recognized charitable organization dedicated to inclusive social development, held a Scholarship Distribution Ceremony at Lok Bhavan, Kolkata.

The honorable governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Shri C.V. Ananda Bose, graced the occasion. Five deserving students received symbolic scholarships in recognition of their academic achievement and tenacity in the face of financial difficulties.

The event officially launched the Jan Kalyan Trust’s Rs 25 lakh education support program, which would provide one-time grants and scholarships to around fifty worthy students. The program seeks to lower educational costs and provide students with the courage to pursue higher education and career goals.

The beneficiaries honoured during the programme were Junita Jaiswal, an MSc (Physics) student from Ramakrishna Mission, Suvam Biswas, a first-year B.Com student of City College, Saumya Mawndia, a Class XI student and NCC cadet from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Roshni Agarwal, a high-achieving Class X board student in Hindi, and Unnati Sharma, a Class VII student from Maheswari Girls’ School.

The Hon’ble Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Shri C.V. Ananda Bose, said, “Education lays the foundation for a progressive and inclusive society. These kinds of initiatives are essential for developing potential, guaranteeing fair chances, and enabling young people to make significant contributions to the development of the country”.

Jan Kalyan Trust was founded in 1996 and is approved under Section 80G and registered under Section 12A of the Income Tax Act of 1961. With an emphasis on elevating marginalized communities, the Trust actively works in the areas of education, skill development, livelihood enhancement, and women’s and children’s empowerment.
