“Painted Memories Calcutta Connects Raj Kapoor”, a film by director Jaydip Mukherjee, was screened at the ongoing 31^st Kolkata International Film Festival.

The director, producer Subrata Sanyal, and other eminent guests graced the press conference.

Raj Kapoor’s professional journey in Bombay showcased his amazing talent and also allowed him to collaborate with several former Calcutta residents. The centenary tribute to this legend shows his excellent connection to the city of joy.

The director said that this is not a simple biography but intends to show Raj Kapoor’s link to Calcutta. The contribution of Bengal to Bollywood has also been shown in this film.

The cinematographer of the film is Manik Alam.

The editor of the film is Biswajit Parua.

The music has been composed by Jaydip Mukherjee.

The cast consists of Subhendu Banerjee (Postman) and Soumyopriya Senapati (Dancer).

The director’s earlier films were Nabaneeta Dev Sen (2014) and Other Ray (2022).
