“We have shot in iconic places in Rajasthan. Our shooting took us to places where Satyajit Ray shot for Sonar Kella. It is indeed a privilege to shoot for our film in those places. It is amazing to see the kind of respect that they give to Ray. The people in Jaisalmer consider Ray as the person who changed the fate of this small city and placed them on the tourist map” said Anirban Chakrabarti.

Sandipta Sen who will be seen playing the role of a curator at the Jaisalmer Museum said “Like most Bengalis, even I was awestruck when I went to Rajasthan to shoot the film. Rajasthan evokes myriad emotions in me. When I first saw Sonar Kella, and when the sun’s rays fell on it, I could understand why it is called so. It has been a memorable shoot. And to be a part of this franchise was indeed a dream come true”.

The director said that the decision to make this film was done after the premiere of the first Eken film. He also hoped that a third film will be announced after the premiere of The Eken Ruddhaswas Rajasthan.

Joydeep Mukherjee also said that they had to change the backdrop of the stories as the author Sujan Dasgupta wrote the stories with the USA as the backdrop. Hence for the first film, they changed it to Darjeeling and this time to Rajasthan.
