A press conference was organized to announce Aakash Aath’s Chhoy Masher Mega Eka Noi Ekkanyborti. The entire cast and crew along with the director Debidas Bhattacharya was present at the occasion.

The story revolves around the Mukherjee family of North Kolkata. The head of the family is Manohar babu. He is proud of the fact that even in 2018 he has been able to keep his joint family under one roof.

Sanchari, the heroine of the story have grown up in Delhi with her parents. She has heard stories about joint families from her father. Though she had lived for some time during her childhood in a big joint family but due to her father’s job they had to move away. But when she grows up and comes back, that family is no longer together. Her office colleague is Kushal. She listens about his joint family and remembers her family. They fall in love and get married.

After she comes as a bride to the Mukherjee family, she understands that many family members wanted to get away from the joint family, despite living under the same roof. She tries her best to keep them united. But is she successful?

Speaking at the event, Dulal Lahiri said “Nuclear families have now become so rampant. But many people have forgotten the positive aspects associated with joint families. With this story, people will now realize that they have choices. They can either opt for nuclear families or joint families. But they must know about the side effects and positive effects of both the kind of families”.

Arya Chandra who has worked with Debidas Bhattacharya beforehand mentioned that it was always a pleasure working with the director. The only hitch during the shooting was the chilly weather outside. That posed a problem during the outdoor shoots.

Dulal Lahiri (Manohar), Shakuntala Barua (Sabita), Dolon Roy (Urmimala), Arya Chandra (Kushal), Pritha Chandra (Sanchari), Arunava Dutta (benda), Sushmita Chakraborty (Hemlata), Mousumi Bhattacharya (Moumita) and others will be seen in pivotal roles in this Chhoy Masher Mega.

Eka Noi Ekkanyborti will begin from 1st January, Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm only on Aakash Aath.
