Aakash Aath’s New Mega Serial Kaanchchi To Begin From 30th August
Aakash Aath has always endeavored to do something out of the box for their viewers. They have now come up with a new mega serial Kaanchchi.
Kaanchchi is a girl who was born in the hills. She shows different games to the tourists who come to the hills. Aakash, the hero of this story marries a Nepali girl Poonam by going against his family. Aakash is now the father of a two-year-old daughter Ishwari. His mother Ashapurna forgets all these issues and asks them to come back home.
On their way back to Kolkata, their car experiences some problems. They go in search of a mechanic and meet Kaanchchi. Due to some reasons, they had to stay in her village. After spending a night in the village, they go on their way again. Their car meets with an accident. Kaanchchi comes to know about their accident and goes to the spot. Poonam gives the responsibility of Ishwari to Kaanchchi. Aakash cannot be found at the spot.
Kaanchchi raises Ishwari. After four years, she comes to Kolkata to give Ishwari back to her family. Aakash’s family thinks her to be Poonam and she also has to give in to the circumstances and pretend she is Poonam. Aakash is alive but ill. He has also forgotten about the past. Will Kaanchchi be able to nurse him back to health?
Kamalika Chakraborty said “This is indeed a challenging character. You will get to see me running on the hilly roads, walking on ropes, and so on. These are things that I have never done before and I have not used a body double. So yes, it was challenging”.
The team has shot in the hills for half a month.
The director of the serial is Manish Ghosh.
Bhaswar will be seen in the role of Prashanta in the mega serial. “I am the paternal uncle of Aakash. He speaks the truth and supports Aakash. This is all I know about the character till now. I am having a good time shooting the serial. This will be a new way in which the audiences will see me. Either they have seen me doing religious serials or negative characters. This is a welcome change for me. And to get to wear Punjabis during this humid weather is a blessing indeed” said the actor.
Kathakali Chakraborty (Kaanchchi), Omi Mukherjee (Aakash), Soumi Pal (Poonam), Aradhya Biswas (Ishwari), Tulika Basu (Ashapurna), Bhaswar Chatterjee (Prashanta), Sayok Chakraborty (Abhra), Ayesha Bhattacharya (Rohini), Arunava Dutta (Amiya) and others will be seen in different roles in the mega-serial.
