“Abar Kanchenjunga Is A Family Drama And Has Lot Of Emotions”-Devlina Kumar
The trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Abar Kanchenjunga directed by Raajhorshee De, presented by Shilpi A Pandey & Akshatt K Pandey took place recently in the presence of the cast and crew of the film.
Sri Aroop Biswas, Hon’ble MIC (Power, Youth Services and Sports) Govt. of West Bengal was the Guest of Honour of the event.
The story of the film revolves around Tridib the eldest Son of Advocate Nishith Deb, He calls his brothers Sudeb, Debesh, Rohit along with sister Semonti, to their ancestral home “ABHILASH” in Darjeeling for a mega reunion. This trip is happening after twenty years. This was once was a customary trip during Christmas when Nishith Deb was alive. Abhilash is presently been taken care of by Jagadish Tamang, and his daughter Surita. Although a family of higher lineage Deb family has its own share of eccentric complications, like any other modern family. What will happen during this reunion?
The cast of the film consists of Kaushik Sen, Saswata Chatterjee, Deboshree Ganguly, Arpita Chatterjee, Tnusree Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, Padmanabha Dasgupta, Rupankar Bagchi, Richa Sharma, Bidipta Chakraborty, Priyanka Rati Pal, Devlina Kumar, Sohini Guha Roy, Ashim Roychoudhury, Ranieeta Das and Anindya Chatterjee.
The story and direction are by Raajhorshee De and the screenplay and dialogues are by Padmanabha Dasgupta.
The music has been composed by Ashu Chakraborty and the lyrics have been penned down by Durba Sen and Raajhorshee De.
“We shot the film in November 2020 and after watching the trailer, all those memories came rushing back to me. It was a great experience to act with such an amazing ensemble cast” said Anindya Chatterjee.
Bidipta Chakraborty said, “We have high expectations from the film. With such an amazing ensemble cast, all actors have given their best in their respective roles. The audience will have an amazing time watching the film”.
Devlina Kumar loves family dramas and emotions and this film is full of that. Hence she had a marvelous time working in the film.
Saswata Chatterjee after watching the trailer more than three times was looking forward to watching the film on the big screen. He even urged the audiences to come to the halls and watch this family drama.
