The trailer launch of Debasish Sen Sharma’s ‘Shob Choritro’ took place at the Klikk Studios. The director and the cast presented an immersive experience of the writer Abhinash and psychiatrist Mrinalini.

The story of Shob Choritro revolves around a writer Abhinash, who was once very popular. He is forty-five years old. His stories are not doing well and hence he searches for stories in his surroundings. His family consists of his wife and son. He meets his mathematics teacher at a tea shop. And he feels that he has finally got a great story. However, the teacher dies suddenly. Abhinash comes under the goodwill of the police who starts off with the investigation of the death of the teacher.

He meets Sejuti. He finds a source for a new story. He comes to know about Sejuti and Anwar’s story. However, she commits suicide before he could know more about her. He is questioned by the police and that tires Abhinash. He tells his friend Saikat about his unique ability. Saikat tells this to a news channel and the media goes after Abhinash. Abhinash then meets a psychiatrist. She suggested that he could write about the dead characters as then no one else will die. What happens next?

Abhinash will be played by Anirban Chakraborty, Judhajit Sarkar will play Debabrata, Imon Chakraborty plays Mrinalini, and Saikat is played by Rana Basu Thakur. The role of the Mathematics teacher is played by Paranbandopadhyay.

“I found the script interesting. This is a complicated character. Neither is a God nor is he an evil person. He is a very human character. The director said that he wanted me to be cast for this role. So I am happy that he thought me fit for this role” said Anirban Chakraborty.

Iman said that her character Mrinalini is a grey character. “I want to be known as an artist. I prefer singing to acting like that is my forte. However, if I get offers for good roles, I will take up the offer. I do not hamper my singing career for my acting” said Imon.

Debasish Sen Sharma said that he had Anirban in mind for the role of Abhinash. He would not have made the series without Anirban. The director also added that Imon surprised her with her acting skills.
