Abhishek Sarkar’s First Solo Photography Exhibition Boasts Amazing Works

Abhishek Sarkar, an artificial intelligence specialist and NRI from Kolkata, organized his first solo photography exhibition at the esteemed Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, marking a remarkable transition from machine intelligence to visual storytelling. The remarkable collection of long-exposure, low-light photographs in the week-long exhibition at South Gallery 2 (June 6–June 12) combines the essence of art with the power of technology.
Sarkar, who works as an AI specialist at JP Morgan Chase and is currently based in the USA, exhibits both technical expertise and emotional sensitivity through his photography, capturing dynamic urban scenes, intricate structures, and tranquil landscapes.

Renowned international photographer Anupam Halder, who also serves as the Joint Commissioner of Revenue for the Government of West Bengal, formally inaugurated the exhibition. “It’s great to see such high-calibre photographic creations by Abhishek. Being a part of this significant milestone in his journey is a pleasure for me as a fellow photographer,” said Mr. Halder.
Mr. Abhijit Sarkar and Prof. Jayashree Mukherjee, Abhishek’s proud parents, attended the event, making it a heartwarming homecoming celebration of ambition and heritage.
Sarkar’s compositions demonstrate a profound comprehension of time, light, and mood. In today’s fast-paced visual culture, his long-exposure photographs provide a meditative stillness that is uncommon.

For those who enjoy photography and art, the exhibition is an experience rather than merely a display. It demonstrates how talent developed in Kolkata continues to blossom all over the world.
