Soumyajit Majumdar is a well known actor who has made his mark by working in Bengali films and theatre. He will be making his debut as a director with the film Homecoming.

The story is an experimental one. The film has been divided into ten episodes. Five episodes will be shown before the interval while the remaining five will be shown after the interval. The film will show how a theatre group is broken up and how they again come together.

Eminent actors from Tollywood and Bollywood will be seen in the film. Some of the actors include Sayani Gupta, Sayan Ghosh, Priyanka Mondal, Tuhina Das and others.

The shooting of the film has already begun.
