Suranjana Chowdhury has been learning music under the guidance of her father and mother. When she grew up a little, she began training under his father’s friend Samar Kumar Tosh. Next, she learned Nazrul Geeti. She started to take part in different competitions and won prizes. She then trained under Ustad Sagiruddin Kha and Probhati Mukherjee. She began training under Kalyan Sen Borat in 2010 and learning Adhunik songs.

After dealing with a Liver stone and then a brain stroke, and with ample inspiration from her husband Sujit Chowdhury, she released the duet song Sonameye. It was after this that she released Protiti Din Protiti Raat.
