Director Ranjan Ghosh’s film Ahaa Re completed 75 days of its run at the box office. The film starred Rituparna Sengupta, Arifin Shuvo, Paran Bandopadhyay, Deepankar De, Amrita Chattopadhyay and others in pivotal roles.

The success of the film has inspired both the director and the producer of the film, Rituparna Sengupta who was also the lead actress of the film. Now the duo is planning to come up with a sequel, Ahaa Re 2.

The director Ranjan Ghosh revealed that requests for a sequel of the film were coming from different people.

The cast of the film in the sequel will remain unchanged.

The first film ended on a magical note with the union of Raja and Basundhara. The second film will begin from the place where the first film ended. According to NRC rules, whether Raja will be able to stay in Kolkata or how the local people will react to a Muslim boy staying in a Hindu family will be highlighted in the film.

The name of the sequel is not yet planned.

Ahaa Re will soon release in Bangladesh.
