Bharti Airtel made history by announcing that it has partnered with Blinkit, a quick commerce platform, to deliver SIM cards to its customers in Kolkata in as little as ten minutes. This is a first-of-its-kind telco service that is currently available in 16 cities nationwide, with plans to expand over time to additional cities and towns.

Customers can now receive SIM cards at their doorstep in as little as 10 minutes for a small convenience fee of Rs 49, thanks to this partnership, which is a major milestone. Following SIM card delivery, customers can use Aadhaar-based KYC authentication to activate the number through a straightforward activation process. Consumers will be able to select between prepaid and postpaid plans, or they can initiate an MNP to join the Airtel network. Customers can view the activation video and click the online link to expedite the process and ensure a smooth activation experience.

Additionally, all Airtel customers can use the Airtel Thanks App to access the help centre for any help they may require for any of these activations. If new customers need assistance, they can reach support by calling 9810012345. Customers must activate the SIM card within 15 days of delivery to guarantee a seamless and trouble-free transition.

16 major cities, including metropolises like Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Sonipat, Bhopal, Indore, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Hyderabad, will have access to the SIM delivery service during the first phase of this launch.
