Alor Koley To Explore Love & Affection Of A Mother

“What we all seek for at the end of a long and tiring day is the lap of a mother. The love and affection of a mother give us relief from all the angst and anxieties. This is what can be said as the base of the story of Alor Koley. This is a theme that is relatable to one and all” said Prosenjit Chatterjee at the press conference of Alor Koley.

Samrat Ghosh, Chief Cluster Officer-East, Zee Bangla, Kaushik Ray, Swikriti Majumder, Somu Sarkar, Ananya Das, Rishita Nandi, and others graced the press conference.

Alor Koley revolves around Pupul, a young girl who feels the absence of her mother Alo daily. Even when she is not present physically, Alo looks over her child. She tries desperately to protect her child even after her death. What happens next?

Kaushik Ray will be seen in the role of the husband of Alo. “I play a father who is himself quite confused at times. He is now given the task of guiding his daughter. What will he do then? This is the brief that I have got till now about my character” said the actor.

The actor also added that his mother plays an important role in his life. Hence he could very well relate with the storyline.

Swikriti who plays Alo in the serial said that this was a challenging yet interesting role for her. “I had to portray someone who is not present physically but is trying her best to save her child from all dangers. This is a role that I have not done before” said the actress.

Somu Sarkar will play the role of Radha. “Radha’s mother disappeared from her life when she was a small child. Hence she could understand the crisis of Pupul very well. It is an interesting character and I hope that the audience will show us their support” said Somu.
