Alvida-The Last Goodbye- An Amazing Glimpse Of A Woman’s Agony
The Hindi film Alvida-The Last Goodbye was screened at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival.
The press conference was attended by the director Dilu Maliackal, producer Nibin Sha, actress Pushpa Panth, and others.
The story revolves around Miraal who embarks on a journey from Bhopal to Kerala. She is accompanied by her daughter and together they search for her husband. His sudden silence troubles him. Hence she asks her neighbor Jyothi to join her. In Kerala, she faces hardships when looking out for her husband. What happens next?
The director traveled from Kerala to Bhopal and did the research for the film. She finished writing the script within three months. Dilu has already completed four films.
The music of the film is by Vaisakh Somanath.
The cast of the film consists of Falak Saifi, Sona Maria Abraham, Shweta Ketkar, Hemant Deolekar, and others.
Speaking about her experience, Pushpa said “I have been doing theatre for the past four years. This is my first film as the lead. I was not sure whether I would be able to do this role but the director convinced me. I auditioned for the role three times. The film gives a glimpse of a woman’s agony and highlights the importance of the last goodbye”.
The shooting was completed in 10 days in Bhopal and Kerala.
The film is 29.52 minutes.
