Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor KMC, and local residents have devised a unique initiative titled “Amar Durga Amar Maa”.

Honoring and helping the elderly, disadvantaged women of the Gariahat Kankulia area was the event’s main goal.

The innovative project was launched in the presence of Smt. Sudarshana Mukherjee, Councillor, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Smt. Mala Roy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Ms. Pratima Mondal, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, and Shri Dilip Maharaj, Secretary General, Bharat Sevashram Sangha.

“As we adore Ma Durga throughout the festive days, we vow not to neglect our elderly mothers. As a result, we have been adopting this endeavor for a while now” said Sudarshana Mukherjee.

The project, which included more than 100 senior citizens, will continue until Dasami.
