Ahana, the film’s (Ahana-The Light Within) title character, is a mid-30s author who represents the essence of womanhood. She moves from darkness to light, transcending all the identities society thrusts on her to finally be what she wants to be. She breaks free from the shackles of norms and expectations to live and face life on her terms.

The film traces the journey of a woman in a patriarchal society and her struggle to preserve her identity and reach the destination of her choice. The plot touches upon the delicate but important issue of male infertility and its impact on Indian society.

The cast of the film consists of Sudipta Chakraborty, Joy Sengupta, Saumya Sengupta, Senjuti Roy Mukherjee, Priyabrata Sen Sarkar, and Payel Rakshit.

The story, screenplay, dialogue, and direction are by Promita Bhowmik.

The cinematography is by Joydeep Bhowmik.
