The 10th iteration of Managedia 2024, the biggest college festival in Kolkata, came to an end with great success as attendees, sponsors, and students joined together to honor talent, creativity, and innovation. Managedia 2024 was held from April 16 to April 20, 2024, and was hosted by the Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Development (iLEAD), co-presented by the State Bank of India, and in collaboration with PS Group.

Managedia 2024, with the theme The Octet: Ignite Infinite, sought to encourage students to use their imaginations, impart knowledge, and seize possibilities. Forty-five colleges took part in over forty activities this year. A ceremonial lamp lighting to mark the illumination of limitless possibilities marked the beginning of the event.

Eminent guests who graced the inauguration were Mr. Prem Anup Sinha (Chief General Manager at State Bank of India), Mr. Ujjwal Kumar Chowdhury (Vice President of Washington University of Science and Technology, US), Mr. Arturo Lavelle (Director of Unimarconi University of Italy) and Mr. Alkesh Agarwal (Co-Founder and CEO, Refeel Cartridge Engineering Pvt. Ltd.).

A wide variety of activities including management, journalism, culinary arts, culture, cinema and photography, gaming and technology, allied health, social media, sports, and more were arranged by the iLEAD event club for the festival.

Prestigious universities participated in over 40 iLEAD-organized events at Managedia 2024.
iLEAD teams dominated, winning both the boys’ and girls’ teams in football and cricket, while Vijaygarh Jayotish Ray College won the boys’ kabaddi competition.

Several other colleges were also recognized for their outstanding performances and participation, including IISWBM, Asutosh College Team B, St.Xaviers University, Surendranath Law College, Amity University, Techno International, Techno University, Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, JDBI, Shri Shikshayatanand many more.

The award for Best Visiting College was bagged by the Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration.

At the closing ceremony on April 20th, an outstanding stage performance by renowned singer Snigdhajit Bhowmik kept the audience engaged.

Managedia 2024 fostered an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration, and quality while showcasing the enormous talent and potential of Kolkata’s student community.
