During the lively Durga Puja celebrations, the Tricone Park Barowari Durga Puja Committee, in collaboration with Magpet Polymers Pvt. Ltd., launched the Smart-ReBin initiative, a key step towards sustainability and the promotion of a plastic-free community. This program encourages appropriate trash disposal and recycling techniques to create a community free of plastic.

The Tricone Park Puja Inauguration and the launch of Smart–ReBin was graced by Smt Mala Roy, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Dr. Kaushik Dutta, Eminent Surgeon, Smt Namita Chakraborty, Film & TV Artist, Shri Arghya Mukherjee, Film & TV Artist, Shri Nirbed Roy, Ex. MLA & Academician, Shri Devendra Surana, Managing Director, Magpet Polymers Pvt.Ltd, Shri Nirban Roy, Youth Leader State Committee, and Shri Santanu Roy, General Secretary, Puja Committee, Tricone Park.

The inauguration of this Smart ReBin at Tricone Park conveys a powerful message that, even as we honor our cultural customs, we can simultaneously deal with modern problems. This project by Magpet Polymers is a wonderful example of how we can use technology to improve our communities.

The Magpet Polymers-designed smart bin has state-of-the-art technology for efficient plastic trash collection and sorting. This project is in line with larger initiatives to transform Kolkata into a greener, more sustainable city.
