The ninth and most recent novel of Ananya Pal is a thriller titled A Mysterious Affair in Amboseli. 

The book launch was graced by Sidhu, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Rahul Banerjee and the author.

Ananya Pal is a chartered accountant by trade who spent several years working for reputable multinational corporations before starting her own consulting business in Nairobi. Her hobby is creative writing. She writes in Bengali and English in the travelogue, thriller, humor, and historical fiction genres. She has nine works that have been published in Bengali and English. She directs and develops the scripts for musicals, short films, dance dramas, and stage plays.

This murder mystery takes place partially in Kenya‘s Amboseli National Park and partly in Nairobi. Apart from its captivating storyline, the book portrays the setting and the culture of Kenya. The book also discusses narcissistic traits and how those who suffer from them exploit empaths and cause them unending anguish, which sets the stage for criminal activity.
