Aparajito (The Undefeated) gained much success when the film was released. On the auspicious occasion of Satyajit Ray’s 103^rd birthday, the screenplay of the film was released at the residence of Ray.

Sandip Ray, Anik Dutta, producer Firdausul Hasan, Sudhangshu Sekhar Dey, and others graced the occasion.

“When I was making the film on Ray and how he overcame all odds to make his first film Pather Panchali, I had the thought whether I was qualified to make the film. But the audience loved the film and I am grateful for the love and support that they have shown to the film. Now that the screenplay was released on the birthday of the legendary director, I am overjoyed” said Anik Dutta.

A large number of people from different strata of society came to pay respects to Ray.

The book consists of reviews that have been published in various publications. It consists of shooting pictures from different periods of making the film apart from the full script of the film.

The book is published by Dey’s Publishing and will be available soon.
