The announcement of the upcoming Bengali film Setarer Jhankar took place in the presence of the director Shiuly Gomes Ramani, producer Rajiv Golcha, Dhiru Banerjee, Ashok Bhadra, Debasish Roy, Swastika Roy and other eminent guests.

The film is a musical and on the completion of 100 years of Bengali cinema, the announcement came as positive news for the audience.

The music will be composed by Ashok Bhadra and Kumar Sanu, Nachiketa will be lending their voices to the songs in the film. There are eight songs in the film.

The cast of the film consists of Madhabi Mukherjee, Dhiru Banerjee, Swastika Roy, Chayan Mukherjee, Sanchita Roy, Shubham Das, Kumar Abhijit and others.

The shooting of the film will begin from April.
