Annual Conference Asian Pacific Digestive Week’19 Announced
In the esteemed presence of Dr Ajay Kumar, President, Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Dr Mahesh Goenka, President, APDW 2019 Kolkata and Dr Joy Basu, Vice-President, Apollo Kolkata, the annual conference titled Asian Pacific Digestive Week ’19 (APDW) was announced.
This is the annual conference of Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology, Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver, Asian Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy and International Society for Digestive Surgery-Asian Pacific Section.
The theme of the conference is Evidence to Expertise.
The 2019 edition is jointly hosted by Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Society of GI Endoscopy of India and Indian National Association for Study of Liver.
Ex-President of India Pranab Mukherjee will be the Chief Guest at the inauguration on 13th December.
The young doctors will benefit much from the meet as they will be meeting the doyens from the field of gastroenterology at the meet.
There will be participation from 4000 doctors at the conference. About 1600 international delegates will attend the conference. About 2500 doctors will participate from India. 40 countries will be participating in the conference.
Three days hands-on-workshop will be conducted during the conference. Video contests, Asian Pacific Endoscopy Cup are some of the other highlights of this medical conference.
The conference will be held in Malaysia in 2020 and in Japan in 2021.
The conference will be held from 12th to 15th December at Biswa Bangla Conventio Centre.
