Bengali film Cheeni which was released post lockdown completed its hundred-day run at the box office.

Aparajita Adhya and Madhumita Sarcar who play the role of the mother and the daughter in the film graced the 100 days celebration. The celebrations took place at PVR, Diamond Plaza Mall.

The story of Cheeni highlights the relationship between a mother and a daughter. The film has been directed by Mainak Bhaumik.

Speaking at the occasion, Aparajita Adhya said “I am glad that despite the pandemic, the film completed 100 days and the audience has been appreciating our efforts. We shot during the pandemic and I became Covid positive. I did not know that I will live to see this day. I am grateful to God and the audiences for showering so much love and blessings on us”.

For Madhumita, the hundred days run of the film was a sweet experience for the actress. She hoped that the year started on such a sweet note and she hoped that the sweetness will continue throughout the year.

The two actresses cut a cake on the occasion to celebrate this feat.
