The music and trailer launch of the Bengali film Guldasta took place in the presence of director Arjunn Dutta, Abhijit Guha, Debjani Chatterjee, Anubhav Kanjilal, Ishaan Mazumder, Anuradha Mukherjee, music director Soumya Rit and the singers of the film.

Arjunn Dutta may be a few films old but he has proved his mettle with every film that he has directed. Guldasta is another film that showcases his directorial skills in an excellent manner.

The film is about three women namely Dolly, Renu, and Srirupa, and how their lives get connected with each other.

“Guldasta is a film of hope. The film will exude lots of positivity which is so very essential during these grave times. The film is light-hearted and people will feel very good after watching the film. The cast has done a fantastic job and I must thank specially Swastika Mukherjee, Arpita Chatterjee, and Debjani Chatterjee for bringing alive Dolly, Renu, and Srirupa on the screen” said the director.

Actress Debjani Chatterjee thanked the producers for releasing the film on the big screen and not on the OTT platforms. “If the producers decided to release the film digitally, we could not have done anything. But I will thank them for waiting for over a year to release the film and maintaining their patience even during these grave times” said the actress.

Debjani who had been a part of the director’s other films praised him for the efficiency with which he shot the films and narrated such wonderful stories to the audience.

Abhijit Guha who had worked with Rituparno Ghosh in some of his films mentioned that he found shades of the late director’s art in Arjunn’s directorial techniques.

Anubhav said that he was fortunate to be a part of this film. He hailed the film as a sensitive film.

This is Anuradha’s second release in Kolkata. “Arjunn da is a special director for me. The character that he has given me is very unique and I am glad that I could play this role in the film. I got goosebumps while watching the trailer. I hope the audience will love it” said the actress.

There are three songs in the film. The songs are all soulful and melodious and have been garnering a good response from the audience.

The film is releasing on 21^st October.
