Art Exhibition Paints & Strokes Inaugurated At Taj City Centre Newtown
Taj City Centre Newtown, Kolkata inaugurated an exclusive art exhibition titled ‘Paints & Strokes’ by 3 eminent artists Dhiren Sasmal, Sambhu Saha, and Gautam Sarkar at Shamiana. Gracing the occasion were the three artists and Sourav Ghosal, General Manager, Taj City Centre Newtown.
Almost four thousand works of art, including more than one hundred museum-caliber masterworks, are included in The Taj’s impressive collection of fine art.
Shamiana’s distinctive fusion of old-world charm and modern charisma provides the ideal environment for artists to express and develop their thinking palettes in brilliant colors.
Dhiren Sasmal is renowned for his knowledge of media and linear execution, but he is also known for transforming a difficult formal structure into a joyous realm of beautiful fantasy. His extraordinary talent has enabled him to receive accolades in both applied and fine art, across the board. Across the world, his paintings can be seen in collections and galleries.
On the other side, Sambhu Saha is a member of the rare breed of modern Indian Impressionist young artists. He finds inspiration in the illustrious Gopal Ghosh. In Sambhu’s artwork, the use of freely brushed colors takes precedence over the use of lines. Instead of accurately reproducing the subject and its intricacies, he uses brief, thick strokes of color to quickly recreate the experience in the eye that observes the subject. Impasto or unmixed, painting is frequently used.
Gautam Sarkar is renowned for using bold, quick brushstrokes that give his paintings of attractive women-folk, urban scenes, or mythological characters movement and vigor.
He works with all forms of media, enjoys trying new things, and is always evolving.
Art lovers in the city must attend the two-day event and revel in the art forms.
