In September the red carpet premiere of My Name Is Jaan was staged. It received raving reviews and compliments from media and critics alike.

My Name Is Jaan will again return to the stage on 18^th December again for the audience.

This musical solo is the unique form of a stage performance where Arpita alone performs for almost 2 hours – while singing, dancing, narrating, and acting.

Director Abanti Chakraborty has directed My Name Is Jaan. My Name is Jaan is an engrossing depiction of Gauhar Jaan.

Arpita sings 9 songs of various Gharana and languages live on stage. The music composition of Joy Sakar keeps the audience enthralled.

The play is a first-person narrative with a feminist undertone. The 95 minutes show, separated by an interval, takes the audience back in time as if they are experiencing history.

Arpita Chatterjee said that with her dedication, hard work, and passion, she will captivate the audience while playing Gauhar Jaan again. She realized that singing rejuvenates her. As a woman, she completely relates to Gauhar. She never gave up and no adversity has ever dampened her spirit.

Abanti Chakraborty said that working on Gahar Jaan’s biography was dream come true for her. This was a very different endeavor for her than any of her previous works.

My Name Is Jaan will return on the stage at GD Birla Sabhagar on 18^th December at 6.30 pm.
