The shooting for director Ashoke Viswanathan’s film Hemanter Aparanha was in progress at Jogesh Mime Academy.

The story is about a retired person and an underage. The director did not want to highlight whether this was love or other emotion. The backdrop of the film is Covid and Post-Covid times. How do people see their relationship? The film will also show what happens behind the scenes in films and theatres. Anxiety and depression leading to suicides in recent times is also a major theme of this film.

Ashoke Viswanathan said “I and my daughter Anusha wanted to do something different. Hence when I decided to do this film, I thought of her in the roles. However, I have been learning so much from her and also from Rwitobroto. There is an interchange of ideas between me and these young actors. One must never stop learning”.

Rajesh, a theatre actor’s role is enacted by Rwitobroto. “This is a learning experience for me to be able to work with Ashoke Viswanathan. I wanted to learn about his filmmaking process. He has worked with stalwarts and I wanted to learn from him. Ashoke Viswanathan has worked with film reels and now he is making films using the digital medium. It has been a great experience for me” said the actor.

Anusha will be seen acting in two roles in the film.

The cast of the film consists of Anusha Viswanathan, Shyamal Bhattacharya, Ashoke Viswanathan, Rwitobroto Mukherjee, and Bidipta  Chakrabarty, Meghla Dasgupta, Rupsha Guha, Subrata Dutta, Moubani Sorcar, Satyapriya Mukherjee, Sudip Mukherjee, and Payel Mukherjee.

The music is composed by Gabu.

The shooting of the film has been done in Rajpur-Sonarpur and other places in Kolkata.
