The music launch and the release date announcement of the film Reunion directed by Murari M Rakshit was announced recently.

Along with the director, Raima Sen, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Rupankar, Joy Sarkar and others graced the occasion.

The story of the film Reunion revolves around a group of boys and girls who studied in the university during 1995-2000. All of them came from different middleclass background and formed a closed group with common interest and idealism. After almost twenty years, they plan for a reunion at Kolkata. They start discussing about their old university/hostel days, fun filled moments, political turbulence, nostalgia and remember their senior mentor and his sudden disappearance. However they find their senior during the reunion trip. What happens next?

Sabyasachi Chakraborty plays the role of a political leader who tries to make the students realize about the wrong things happening in student politics.

“Reunion” stars Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Rahul Banerjee, Priyanka Sarkar, Saayoni Ghosh, Samadarshi Dutta, Anindya Pulak Banerjee, Anindita Bose, Saurav Das, Rajesh Sharma and others in pivotal roles.

The music of the film is composed by Joy Sarkar. Rupam Islam and Rupankar have never sung a duet for a film song together. “This is a new experience and I have enjoyed myself very much. The song has a flavour of the 90’s and I have enjoyed singing it very much. I am a person who belonged to those times and it feels great to visit that time with the help of this song” said Rupankar.

Director Murari M Rakshit’s film Reunion is being presented under the banner “MMR Films”.

The film is eyeing for release on 7^th December.
