In keeping with its “DilSeOpen” tenet, Axis Bank announced during the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival the opening of its ARISE ComeAsYouAre Program, a vibrant new talent acquisition initiative for the LGBTQIA+ community.

“ARISE ComeAsYouAre” is an open campus initiative that emphasizes skills-based hiring, giving weight to an individual’s potential and skill set over more conventional considerations like a degree or college affiliation. It is more crucial than ever to look for applicants with the appropriate skill sets, regardless of their educational history, as the employment markets change. The goal of this recruiting program is to encourage brilliant LGBTQIA+ people to apply from any Indian college and pursue a career in banking with Axis Bank.

Axis Bank has implemented many measures in its pursuit of valuing diversity, equity, and inclusivity. The Bank launched its “ComeAsYouAre” campaign in 2021, which is a set of guidelines for dealing with LGBTQIA+ staff members and consumers. It invited partners of the same sex to open joint savings accounts and/or term deposits, designate one another as nominees, and allow customers of other genders to add the honorific Mx. Axis Bank and Tata AIG General Insurance Company Ltd. (Tata AIG) teamed in 2022 to provide Group Medicare products to Axis Bank’s LGBTQIA+ customer base.

With the introduction of the “ARISE ComeAsYouAre” program, Axis Bank has demonstrated that it is a company that walks the walk by putting measures into place that support inclusion, equity, and diversity both inside the company and outside its ecosystem. Professionals with up to five years of experience as well as recent graduates will have equal opportunities to establish their careers in a vibrant, welcoming environment that highlights their abilities, potential, and novel viewpoint.
