Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan are two of director Shoojit Sircar’s favourite actors. The two actors will now be seen working together in the director’s upcoming Bollywood film Gulabo Sitabo.

This is a comedy film. The director had worked with the two actors beforehand in comedy-dramas like Piku and Vicky Donor.

The backdrop of the story is in Lucknow. Gulabo Sitabo is a traditional glove puppet theatre from Uttar Pradesh. These puppets made of papier-mâché, dressed in colourful, shiny clothes and trinkets.

Ayushmann had dreamt of working with Amitabh Bachchan and now his dream of working with the legend will be fulfilled.

Written by the award winning Juhi Chaturvedi (Of Vicky Donor, Piku and October fame), Gulabo Sitabo will release this November 2019 and is produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.
