Ayushmann Khurrana Gives Keys Of Food Trucks To Empower Transgenders
Ayushmann Khurrana, a Bollywood celebrity, and UNICEF National Ambassador for India, has demonstrated a strong commitment to human rights through his work in films, on social media, and at important national and international forums.
The gifted actor-artist is currently assisting Chandigarh’s transgender population in improving their skills and becoming more independent. Building food trucks for the community is something Ayushmann has invested in, giving them the ability to manage their own food companies. ‘Sweekar’ is a fitting moniker for the food trucks, reflecting the contemporary significance of communal acceptance in today’s world.
The transgender community in Zirakpur, Chandigarh, received the keys to the Sweekar Food Trucks from Ayushmann.
Ayushmann said, “I think that one of the most crucial steps in defending human rights is self-reliance. Building a nation demands inclusivity and the defense of every person’s right to exist in this nation. Each of us can contribute. I’ve always believed that for an increasing number of people to become self-sufficient, people must actively engage in strengthening their communities. This is how I attempt to give back to my community and my country”.
The keys to the food trucks were given to Dhananjay Chauhan, the first transgender student at Punjab University and a vocal member of the community in the state.
