Babil Khan Walks For Designer Pawan Sachdeva At Lakme Fashion Week 2022
In the past ten years, menswear in India has seen significant change, and Pawan Sachdeva has been one of the most prolific and creative designers in this field. In addition to pushing menswear up the fashion food chain, Pawan’s seasonal collections have provided Indian men with exciting new fashion options.
The “People of Tomorrow” menswear collection by the designer, presented during Lakmé Fashion Week in collaboration with FDCI, reflected his distinctive hallmark looks for both luxury and streetwear. The designer’s thorough research established that there has been a significant shift in the style, fabrics, detailing, structure, and decorations of menswear.
Pawan, who catered to all age groups with his presentation, stood out with a distinctive appearance that spelled out loose silhouettes. The well-cut, precisely tailored clothing was in perfect harmony, with each garment’s cuts, design cues, and distinctive features working together as one. The athleisure and formal wear alternatives were varied and well-suited for the male traveler’s wardrobe.
At times, it was clear that his design choices for the clothes seen on the runway were heavily influenced by streetwear trends. Modern 21st-century men would find the choice of patterns, themes, and numerous design techniques to be totally contemporary.
Biker jackets, blousons, Tees, hoodies, some with two buttons, belted unstructured long coats, and cozy shrugs with matching pants were all prominently featured. Many of the jackets were designed with zipper details for added comfort. Patches were a notable element in the majority of the clothing, and the shapes were kept close to the body.
Babil Irrfan Khan was the stylish showstopper for the Pawan Sachdeva show, donning a coordinated jacket and pant combo with a grey and black linear pattern and a zippered black T-shirt.
The focus of Pawan Sachdeva’s most recent collection, “People of Tomorrow,” was on classic menswear that could be mixed and matched to fit many moods and circumstances.
