To keep track of their heritage for the future generations as well as for the common people, a detailed website was launched in the presence of Aditya Mukherjee, his wife Keya Mukherjee, Joydip Kundu, Suchanda Kundu and others at their residence in Salt Lake. With the launch of this website, Mukherjee family’s members who stay outside Kolkata as well as common people will be able to see their Puja since the inception.

“The idol of the Goddess is the same since its inception. One of our ancestors saw a dream and began this Puja. That is why the Goddess is on a white lion and has red colored skin. The idol is made in Kumartuli by Tarachand Pal’s family for the past five generations. The decor of the goddess comes from Krishnanagar. Bachchu Bagchi is in charge of that” said Aditya Mukherjee.

Next year, the puja will be completing 250 years and the family has a list of activities to celebrate the puja with much devotion.
