“There are business councils for Marwaris, Jains, Gujratis, and so on. But there was a lack of such a council among the Bengali community. With Bengal Business Council, this has been addressed. I have grown up outside Kolkata and I know the influence of such councils. With the establishment of such a council, it is a blessing for new and old business owners” said Ushoshi Sengupta.

Bengal Business Council announced Banglar Nabajagran, Bengal Rising 2.0 in the presence of Ushoshi Sengupta, Subrata Dutta, Vice President of the Council and Managing Director of The George Telegraph Group, Avishek Auddy, Chairman of the Council and Director of Chandra’s Chemical Industries, Subhashis Dutta, general secretary of the Council and Partner of Mohendra Dutt & Sons and others.

Speaking at the event, Subrata Dutta said “Bengalis have acquired a bad name over the years that they do not like to do business. However, that is not the truth. There are so many Bengali business owners who are not only popular in Kolkata but also throughout the country. Names like DTDC, Senco Gold & Diamonds, PC Chandra Jewellers, and many more can be cited as examples. We developed this council so that more Bengali business owners can run their business properly and also get the required guidance to do so”.

Through this event, Bengal Business Council will give a platform to investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to share their thoughts and explore business opportunities.

Bengali businesses can participate in the industrial trade fair, job fair,  automobile expo, career and admissions fair, flea market, handicraft fair, and food festival.
