Hoichoi is set to stream a horror-comedy series –Kamini which is a genre first for the web content streaming platform. The web series stars Barkha Bisht in her first Bengali web series. Barkha Bisht was shooting for the web-series from Bolpur, Dooars and other beautiful locations of Bengal. This also marks the hoichoi debut for the actor.

Barkha’s character remains a mystery throughout the show. Samya and Arnab, who run a failing private detective agency, plan to decipher this. The two boys arrive in Kamini’s village to break the myth and are helped by a local girl Bijli. In the meantime, Samya’s girlfriend Sreemoyee too arrives at the village to reveal the dark past and hidden truth of Samya to everyone. Will she be able to save them before they get cursed by the legend of Kamini?

Excited to work on her first Bengali web series, Barkha Bisht said that horror comedy as a genre is very difficult to execute. This is because you have to be scary and funny at the same time. She was glad that she was selected for the role.

Kamini also stars Saurav Das, Apratim Chatterjee, Poulomi Das in prominent roles.
