Dawshom Awbotaar’s grand logo unveiling event took place at the renowned Basubati In Kolkata.

Gracing the occasion were director Srijit Mukherji, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jisshu U Sengupta, Anirban Bhattacharya, Jaya Ahsan, Anupam Roy, Rupam Islam, and Indraadip Dasgupta.

Dressed in white shirts and blue jeans, the cast and the director presented a pretty picture against the backdrop of the historic place.

The director had also announced the cop multiverse film which will be a double prequel of his earlier hits Baishe Srabon and Vinci Da. Iconic officers Prabir Roy Chowdhury from Baishe Srabon and Bijoy Poddar from Vinci Da will unite for this film.

“Baishe Srabon and Vinci Da had many characters and hence we had to do more casting for this film. The cast of the film is one that will be liked by the audience and they each have their separate fan base due to their amazing works” said Srijit Mukherji.

Basubati is important for the director as this was the place where many parts of Baishe Srabon were shot.

Prosenjit Chatterjee was nostalgic when he took the stage. “My character in Baishe Srabon has been extremely popular. Audiences have loved it. And it was a pleasure to again get to play this role. Music has always played an important part in Srijit’s films and that is true for this film as well” said the actor.

Anirban Bhattacharya became nostalgic and said “I went to Navina cinema to see Baishe Srabon. It was during my college life. I had not thought then that I would be a part of this franchise or get into the world of acting. I am thrilled and I am looking forward to starting the work”.

This is Anirban’s ninth work with the director.

The director also added that many people were thinking about what would happen to the character of Khoka. The answer lies in this film and to know that, they will have to watch the film.

Jisshu Sengupta said, “I have worked many years ago with Bumba da and I am again getting the chance to work with him. This feels great. I am looking forward to starting the shoot”.

Indraadip Dasgupta will compose the background score of the film.

The shoot is to begin on 21st July.

This thriller is eyeing for release on 20th October.
