Ben Nevis Launches Privilege Card For Sports Fraternity
In honor of its first year in business, Ben Nevis Diagnostic Center is launching a special wellness counseling program for older citizens in the athletic community. Given his experience as the current president of East Bengal Football Club and the former president of Calcutta Cricket & Football Club, Dr. Pronab Dasgupta, the founder of Ben Nevis, is well qualified to launch such a program. Pronab da, as he is affectionately known by his large circle of friends and the patient community, is aware that healthcare costs are always rising and become unaffordable for athletes after retirement.
One of the hallmarks of this initiative, according to Mr. Arnab Dasgupta, (Managing Director of Ben Nevis and Pronab da’s son), is a privilege card that will grant generous discounts (in some cases up to 50%) on a variety of investigations that will be extremely helpful to the sporting community as a whole. Dr. Vece Paes and his son, tennis ace Leander, attended the program’s launch. Both spoke at the event and were quite enthusiastic about the value of such a program. Leander noted that physiotherapy, which is a crucial technique for maintaining muscle power as we age faster, is frequently becoming unaffordable and applauded Ben Nevis for taking on the task of doing so.
Dr. Rizwan Sadique and Dr. K.N. Siddiqui, renowned city-based cardiologists affiliated with Ben Nevis, were quoted as noting that people require unbiased guidance when looking for treatments for their medical conditions. They emphasized the need for preventive care in maintaining health after the age of 60 and suggested that everyone have a full body checkup once a year. Ben Nevis is aware that in order to effectively broaden the impact of this well-intentioned project, they will now need to contact the numerous sports clubs.
A great initiative indeed!
