After the immense success of Police Files, Aakash Aath has come up with another show to raise awareness on crimes titled Bengal Crime. The Bengali crime anthology series is created by Eshita Surana Poddar for Aakash Aath channel.

The series presents dramatized version of crime cases that occurred in West Bengal. The anchor of the series is Rajesh Sharma. The actor was initially hesitant to join the small screen. This is first stint on the small screen too. Due to the grave importance of the series to impart awareness among the people about different kinds of crime, the actor finally decided to join the show as the anchor.

With the help of this show, the correct measures to avert crimes will be highlighted. Real life stories revolving around harassment, kidnapping and murder etc will be narrated. The series will open its viewers’ minds with these cases by making them aware of the crime around them.

Bengal crime has not only focused on creating awareness about crimes but has also aimed to help the victims depicted in the episodes.

The director of the first three episodes of Bengal Crime is Sayan Dasgupta, Sajal Bose and Arindam Chakraborty.

The first episode was aired on 17th February 2020 (Monday to Wednesday 9.30 pm).
