The Conclave offered specialists a singular forum to exchange best practices and discuss important issues such as Energy Pathways, Smart Power Generation, Smart Grid, Transmission and Distribution, and the Journey of Smart Metering.

“Roti, Kapda, Makaan, and Bijli are the four most crucial items. The power department, utilities, and industries must all cooperate. Nothing is possible without the assistance of industry and IEEMA. The last ten years have witnessed a significant improvement. India also boasts the second-largest global power transmission network. Strong emphasis must be laid on the utilization of pumped hydro storage and renewable energy in the state” said Mr. R N Singh, Chairman of the Damodar Valley Corporation.

After completing its ambitious plans to promote green/renewable energy and the installation of grid-connected, ground-mounted, roof-top, and floating solar power plants in 2017, West Bengal achieved 100% household electrification. Now, the Department of Power is concentrating on strengthening the transmission and distribution network in the State.
