On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy announced their new Bengali film Anthyesti.com.

There are event managers for organizing marriages and other auspicious events. However the funeral sector did not have such people who could help people out in such cases. With people living far away from their parents due to work, the development of this sector is of prime importance to many individuals.

Shruthi Reddy developed this idea of Anthyesti to revolutionise the funeral sector and help the people out in such urgent times. Her company gives live updates of the beloved’s mortal remains, ease the complete clearance and documentation process. It is due to her endeavour that many jobs has been created in this sector like hearse drivers, funeral helpers and many others.

Shruthi is the founder of Anthyesti Funeral Services and also the recipient of the National Entrepreneurship Awards 2018 (Logistics).

It is her story of women empowerment that motivated the director duo to come up with a film based on her work. “Not many start-ups receive so much acclaim and great response. However this start-up is even more important because this has been started by a woman who has come up with such a noble thought to help out people” said Nandita Roy.

The work for the new film has already begun and the cast and crew details will be made available soon by the director duo.
