The shooting of the upcoming Bengali film O Bondhu Amar took place recently at Pailan. The cast of the film along with the director Sanjay Das was present at the shooting.

The story revolves around Ruhi and Adi. At the start of the story, Ruhi is attacked by goons. Adi tries to save her but a goon strikes her head with a rod. She becomes unconscious. Later the doctors tell her family that she has lost her memory. What happens next?

Rittika Sen plays the role of Ruhi in the film. Speaking about her character, she said “I have a layered character. Ruhi loses her memory and she is a different person then. It is fun portraying such a challenging role. I have worked with many of my-co-stars earlier also and so we share a great bonding. The heat is sweltering and so we crack jokes and have fun to keep us motivated in our work”.

Adi is played by Mit, Adi’s mother is played by Mousumi Saha, Ruhi’s father and mother’s role is played by Arun Banerjee and Anuradha Roy. Supriyo Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee and Biswajit Chakraborty will be seen in other pivotal roles.

The director mentioned that love in today’s times is all about lust. But love is also about sacrifice. The director has highlighted that aspect in the film.

The story, script and lyrics are by Bethun Bera.

Anjan-Jay has composed the music of the film. Kumar Sanu, Palak Muchhal, Raj Barman, Zubeen Garg, Aman Trikha, Anamta have lent their voices to the songs in the film. There are four songs in the film.

The film is eyeing for release soon.
