A press meet was organized to announce a new Bengali film Pora Banshi in the presence of director Subhom Das, Gautam Susmit, Biswajit Chakraborty, Anamika Saha, Ramen Roy Chowdhury and others.

The story of the film is about Kesto who lived in the village Kestopur. He was disliked by his brother and his wife. However he was loved by his step-mother and village teacher. His only friends were his bamboo flute and the young kids of the village. One day the teacher’s granddaughter Sonali comes from the city. Kesto falls in love with Sonali but she ignores him. After an accident, it is by Kesto’s blood that Sonali gets a new life. She falls in love with him. But before she could confess about her love, Kesto goes missing. What happens next?

Biswajit Chakraborty, Anamika Saha, Manoj Mitra, Subhom Das, Kaushik, Chandni, Arka and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The music is by Amit Dasgupta. Srikanta Acharya, Kalyani Sen, Kallol Chakraborty, Anirudhha Rana and others will be lending their voices to the songs in the film.
