Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF) in association with Penguin Random House organized a tete-a-tete with bestselling author Durjoy Datta, around his latest novel ‘The Perfect Us’ at Oxford Bookstore. The author was in conversation with Sufia Khatoon, who is a poet and artist in her own right. The discussion was focused on the problems of modern relationships and whether perfection is a myth when it comes to love.

‘The Perfect Us’ is a story of love and a search for a happily ever after. The plot revolves around Avantika an investment banker, an ambitious go-getter and Deb-a corporate professional turned failed writer, turned scripter of saas-bahu serials. They have been together for ten years, surviving everything from college to rave parties to annoying best friends. When Avantika wants to take the relationship to the next level, will her partner of more than a decade be able to catch up with her and her expectations from the relationship? Datta takes up the most common problems of modern relationships and presents unique ways of how to handle them in the easiest ways.

The session was held as part of the 10^th anniversary celebration of Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF).
