At Lakmé Fashion Week, the ramp was a riot of color. Sanjukta Dutta presented her colorful, energetic collection called “Palaash”. Sanjukta was motivated by the Indian holidays of Diwali and Durga Puja to exhibit a collection of Indian designs and patterns.

Deep hues of bright orange, crimson, purple, and black enlivened the runway. The item adhered to Sanjukta’s distinguishing Mekhela Chador, which was changed into traditional sari drapes, lehengas, dresses, and skirts. For Sanjukta’s attention has always been drawn to the exquisiteness of Assamese fabrics. The collection made it clear that she had been captivated by the magnificent fabrics of the vibrant state for years.

The combination of texturing and detailing made the clothing into fantastic representations of craftwork and intricate weaving. Sanjukta focused on the choli, paying special attention to innovations. She attached small capes to the neckline and sleeves in various shapes and configurations.

Bhagyashree Patwardhan, who was stunning and classy, wrapped up the performance with a sumptuous silk sari.

In the upcoming months, raucous holiday celebrations will require a wardrobe.
