“Bhanu Jethu’s Humour Was Simple But Is Evergreen”- Saswata Chatterjee
The first look poster of Jomlaloye Jibonto Bhanu was unveiled on the actor’s 101st birth anniversary.
Gautam Bandopadhyay (Son of Bhanu Bandopadhyay), Basabi Bandopadhyay Ghatak (Daughter of Bhanu Bandopadhyay), Saswata Chatterjee, Sayantan Ghosal, and others graced the event.
The director said “Jomaloye Jibonto Bhanu has a link with Jamalaye Jibanta Manush. However, it is set in contemporary times. Bhanu Bandopadhyay is a character in the film and that will be interesting. References to many iconic films of the actor will be there in this film. The film is in the writing stage. Saswata Chatterjee with whom I have worked before will be essaying the lead role”.
Saswata Chatterjee will essay the role of the legendary actor. Saswata Chatterjee said “I have seen Bhanu jethu while growing up and his jokes were so simple. He could make anyone laugh with a simple joke. His films are also so simple and it is devoid of any complication that films now have. Our lives have become so complicated now and living a simple life is a challenge now. With this film, we want to bring forth that era of simple fun to the audience”.
The actor also praised the director with whom he had worked in Swastik Sanket. “He is very calm as a director. He never gets angry or agitated. This is a great quality of Sayantan. If the director gets angry, how can he direct the film?” said the actor.
A good film to look forward to!!
