Bhumi Pednekar Now Recognised As A Young Global Leader
The World Economic Forum has named climate warrior and thought leader Bhumi Pednekar a Young Global Leader (YGL). Later this year, she will be admitted into the esteemed YGL class of 2024 in Geneva. All laud Bhumi for her amazing work in saving lives during the COVID-19 pandemic and her contribution to bringing attention to sustainability and climate change.
The World Economic Forum launched the Young Global Leaders group to honor and recognize exceptional people under 40 for taking on some of the most pressing global issues. Empowering these people who have shown exceptional leadership and dedication to creating a more sustainable and inclusive future is the program’s main goal.
This honor demonstrates Bhumi’s dedication to promoting significant change and increasing public awareness in the battle against climate change. Bhumi has used her position to promote several topics, including trash segregation, rainwater harvesting, recycling, upcycling, mindful fashion choices, and many more. She is an ardent supporter of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
Bhumi Pednekar acknowledged her happiness at being named a Young Global Leader and said, “I am deeply honored and humbled to be recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. In the areas of sustainability and climate change, I have worked to start discussions, motivate action, and create actual change. As an actor and an entrepreneur, I hope to build a diverse portfolio, and I look forward to realizing these goals through the World Economic Forum’s YGL program. As a climate fighter, Bhumi has collaborated with national climate change activists, giving voice to their exceptional efforts. Many campaigns on climate change and environmental conservation have been launched in India and abroad thanks to her support and activism.
