Each coin and stamp honoring Mahatma Gandhi has been produced in India and around the world depicting a pivotal period in India’s history. Starting with the first stamp released in 1948, which featured his statue, and continuing through the 50th and 75th anniversaries of Indian independence. The 75th anniversary of Gandhi’s Dandi March and The Non-Violent Moment is also highlighted. Additionally, collections from more than 40 nations band together to honor Gandhi’s illustrious legacy of 100 & 150 years, among other things.

Postal Departments of France, Germany Srilanka, Turkey, Russia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Fiji, Ireland, Egypt, Brazil, Bangladesh, Kenya, North Korea, Cuba, Czech Republic, and many others had issued stamps in various sizes, shapes, and materials. Mints of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Seychelles, Mauritius, Malta, Mongolia, Andorra, Republic of Benin, Cook Islands, Equatorial Guinea, and Republic of Gambia & others have issued coins minted in gold, silver, copper, nickel & alloy ranging across various denominations. Most of the coins issued are carved with his smiling bust on one of their sides.

This novel idea was innovated by Sushil Kumar Agrawal, an entrepreneur, and CEO of Mintage World.
