The book launch of Stitches by Joel Guha was released recently at Oxford Bookstore, Kolkata.

The book has been published by Abir Mukhopadhyay under the house name Boiwala Book Cafe, Shantiniketan.

The book was launched in the presence of Swapan Kumar Mallick, Professor, Indian Art College, Dr Dipankar Bagchi, Achinty Sural and others.

The book consists of about forty poems on different topics. Life is transitory and nothing is permanent in life. This is what has been highlighted in the book of poems written by Joel Guha.

Joel began writing poems when she was in class eight. She showed the poems to her parents who liked them and asked her to write more poems. This gave her inspiration and confidence and she pursued her passion. It was in class ten that she discovered that she had written enough poems to get them published in a book. And that is how this book came about.

The young writer is also busy with her next book, which will be another book of poems.
