Book Launch of Words, Sounds, Images by Amit Khanna
Film Federation of India organized the launch of Words, Sounds, Images-a book on the History of Media and Entertainment in India written by Amit Khanna.
The book was launched in the presence of Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Goutam Ghose, Bratya Basu, Jayant Kriplani, Debojyoti Mishra, Gargee Roy Chowdhury, Arijit Dutta, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Viswanathan, Firdausul Hasan- President of FFI and other eminent guests.
The book narrates the history of media and entertainment in India. The book traces the media and entertainment industry from Indus Valley civilization times to the current times. The author is a film producer, lyricist and director in his own right. He has worked in the entertainment industry all his life and the book bears his experience of working in this field for such a long period of time.
Buddhadeb Dasgupta said that Amit was his very dear friend and he wished him all the best for his book.
Bratya Basu mentioned that he was not aware of the fact that some of his most favourite songs were actually written by Amit Khanna.
Goutam Ghose recollected how Amit had told him that one needs to take risks to go ahead in life.
The book is published by Harper Collins.
